He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science from Glasgow Caledonian University for services to business and charity in 2006, and was also the 2003 North Region Entrepreneur of the Year and Master Entrepreneur Of The Year 2003 for the North Region.
Duncan is heavily involved with a number of various charities, making it an honour to have him support PC David Rathband's Blue lamp Foundation.
She has been involved in running the charity as vice-chairman, and is now honoured to be taking up the position as Patron following the unfortunate and sudden death of her husband in February 2012.

Phillip has been presenting everyone’s favourite daytime TV show This Morning since 2002, formerly with Fern Britton and currently with co-presenter Holly Willoughby. He also hosts other shows such as Dancing on Ice, The Cube and Text Santa.
Born and bred in Newquay, he’s a Cornish boy at heart. He moved to London when he was 17 and has been on tv since 1981, presenting pop show Shazam in New Zealand, Children’s BBC from the Broom Cupboard, and Going Live with Gordon the Gopher! He starred in Joseph for four years, followed by the West End production of Doctor Dolittle, before returning to TV to concentrate on This Morning and Dancing on Ice.
Phillip was invited to become an honorary Patron after the Trustees were informed of the generous support he had been showing via his social networking accounts.
